Happy Saturday! I am sharing my Friday Faves a day late! J. Crew released several new arrivals this week that I am absolutely loving! There are two printed pencil skirts that I cannot wait to get my hands on. And, there are more chunky, cozy sweaters that are SO fabulous. I am also loving several Kate Spade goodies these days. Pops of yellow and bold patterns are really catching my eye from the brand. Finally, as always, Madewell has the cutest and the coziest sweaters now! Stripes, need I say more?!!?
So, here are my faves these days. Below is a preview of an outfit that I will be wearing soon; the outfit features one of my favorite coats. This outfit will be on major repeat. This coat is fuzzy, furry goodness! I took a size 12, which is one size down from my normal size. And, may we please talk about these fab J. Crew sequin heels?!?! I love a block heel and I am SO hopeful that we will see more of these heels from J. Crew in 2019!
I will post more photos of this gorgeous combination and look soon! I love how the colorful dots in this dress pop against this bright and bold yellow coat! And, of course the calf hair purse adds the perfect finishing touch.
I hope that you’re still enjoying a relaxing holiday season if you celebrate Christmas! I had the most relaxing Christmas and I am SUPER grateful for it. We watched NBA games all day and I napped throughout the day. It was the perfect day for me! J. Crew updated their website with a few new arrivals the day after Christmas, yay!!! There are several super cute printed skirts and more cozy Point Sur sweaters! I LOVEEE J. Crew pencil skirts! A pencil skirt is a wardrobe must for me and I am convinced that J. Crew makes the best. So, here are the new arrivals that I am loving!:
I cannot wait to get the floral printed pencil skirt in my hands! I love all of the vibrant colors and the versatility of this piece. The styling options are endless. I plan to pull out the navy tones the way that it is styled in the image above the first time I wear it. But, pulling out the coral or green tones would work well, too. And, may we please talk about this super cute denim midi pencil skirt?!?! I love how the skirt is styled with a chunky turtleneck sweater and metallic shoes. This is a casual chic outfit that can easily be dressed up a bit with the right accessories including a fun purse and statement earrings. The look is just so classic, fun, and simple.
I am totally loving the printed Point Sur full-length pants. These pants are offered in a jungle print that is reminiscent of the fun floral liberty prints that I love so much. I cannot wait to try these beauties! For years, I avoided pants like the plague because I could not find the proper fit. But, let me tell you, the Point Sur Paper Bag Pant is incredibly flattering. I sized down from my normal size 16 to a 12 in these pants. The waist tie cinches in SO well and it hides the lumps and the bumps. And, the tie is SOOO cute and functional. I highly recommend these pants. They are offered in a super fun pink color as well as neutral colors such as black.
That is what I am loving, what J. Crew new arrivals are you loving?
Merry Christmas Eve (if you celebrate)! I hope that you’re enjoying a fun, relaxing day doing the things that you love and that bring you joy! I am totally relaxing and enjoying this fabulous holiday season with my favorite person on the planet, the amazing Toby! As you know, I LOVE getting inspiration from J. Crew retail store mannequin images. I am a visual person to the core, so I love seeing how retail stores style pieces different ways. Today, I am sharing a few of my favorite images.
The following image is SO cute and chic. The colors, patterns, and textures work SO well together. These stunning earrings are the perfect finishing touch to complete the look:
Again, the colors in this look are SO rich and vibrant. I love this combo SO much. I cannot wait to wear this look soon. And, I love that the blouse and the cape scarf are paired with the super cute and flattering wide-leg trouser jean to elongate the legs.

I love the idea of pairing the gorgeous J. Crew signature plaid print with glen plaid for a pop of fun pattern mixing! I would have never thought to pair these two patterns together, so this is why I LOVE seeing mannequin and style guide images. These patterns look SO good together!!!!
And, may we talk about these gorgeous shoes with the pearls on them?!?! SOOOO cute! I own these shoes in the tartan plaid version and I recommend sizing up a 1/2 size. I am typically a size 9, but I took the shoes in a size 9.5. Again, this look is so chic, classic, and cute. I cannot wait to wear these fun patterns together. It really is an unexpected but super cute pairing. And, the denim on denim is the perfect complement for the patterns. The faux fur coat is one of my absolute FAVES. I sized down from an XL to a Large in the coat and I highly recommend this beauty. I love all of the colors that are offered in this beauty, but the “Autumn River” is SOOOO vibrant and saturated. I am also loving the plaid on plaid pairing look in this image! There is so much great styling inspiration here.
Here is one final look that I love!:
The metallic mini Harper bag looks so good against this fair isle sweater! This bag is small, but it is SO cute and functional. I own this bag in several colors and it is the perfect bag! Shop this look below:
Happy weekend! Today, I am sharing my Friday Faves (a day late, LOL)! I am totally the loving the J. Crew jacket in the following image. I am a huge fan of the Stewart Plaid and Tartan prints that the brand features. I am thinking of ways to wear and style these prints beyond the holidays because they are SO cute! Here is one of my favorite looks that I plan to wear into at least February. This functional bag adds the perfect pop to the outfit!

I love the idea of pairing plaid on plaid! The gorgeous shoes in the image below work well with this look, too! And, there is just something about wearing distressed denim with a plaid, tailored jacket. I love how the denim dresses the look down a bit while still keeping it super chic! I sized up to a 9.5 in the shoes below. I am typically a size 9 in shoes. I took my normal size 14 in the gorgeous jacket that I am wearing above.
And, here are a few of my other favorite “holiday” pieces!:
Also, these fantastic boots are on sale! I LOVVEEE these boots. The heel height is perfect and they are SO stylish! I own most of these and I took my normal size 9 in them:
Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic Saturday!
Happy Wednesday! We are officially in the home stretch of the holiday season! I cannot believe that the Christmas holiday is less than one week away. I am still searching for the perfect gift for the amazing Toby. It’s SO hard to shop for him because I want to make sure that the gift adequately expresses my gratitude for ALL that he does to make my life SO amazing. I know that material gifts do not matter to him, but I always want the “perfect” gift if you know what I mean. I also know that gifts are not the real reason for the season! Well, enough of my rambling, LOL! Today, I am sharing a few of the pieces that I have been wearing the past few weeks. As you know, I love J. Crew pencil skirts, coats, and earrings (well, I love anything J. Crew, but you get the point!). So, here are a few of my recent favorite outfits and shots:

I have said it before, but I will say it again, no other retailer does pencil skirts better than J. Crew. The designs, the prints and patterns, and the fit are always absolutely superb and unique. I find myself squealing each time that I see new pencil skirt released. And, they are SO classic; J. Crew pencil skirts never go out of style. The following image features one of my faves of all time. This skirt is amazing. The jacquard fabric is SOOO gorgeous. The pattern is bold, stunning, and incredibly versatile. The skirt can be paired with burgundy, pink, or neutrals such as black and camel. The styling possibilities really are endless with this beauty. I styled the skirt with a burgundy sweater and a pink-ish faux fur coat, but I also plan to wear it with a neutral color turtleneck the way it is styled on the J. Crew website. I decided to go neutral with the shoes to let the skirt pop.
Here is a preview of the look (I will share more details of the entire look soon)!:
I highly recommend this beautiful skirt! I have also been wearing sequins non-stop! I love the idea of dressing a sequin skirt up or down. Graphic t-shirts and denim jackets are the perfect outfit pieces to dress sequins down a bit. But, I also love the idea of wearing a fun coat or sweater to dress sequins up (even) more! This look is one of my favorites, too!:
I took my normal size 16 in both of these skirts, so the fit is TTS!
In addition to the aforementioned skirts, I have been wearing (and loving) J. Crew tweed, floral, and plaid coats. There is something so classic and fun about a gorgeous/timeless tweed/floral/plaid coat. Here are two of my faves!:
I love the idea of wearing these bold and beautiful coats with distressed denim! And, may we please talk about this fabulous bag?!?! It is incredible! The color is SO bold and gorgeous!! In terms of fit, I took a size 12 in both coats.
