J. Crew New Arrivals (a small update)!

Hi Everyone!

J. Crew released several new arrivals that I am absolutely loving!

If you have followed my blog or IG for a bit, you know that I LOVE a classic pencil skirt.  And, I am convinced that J. Crew has the BEST pencil skirts.  Pencil skirts are wardrobe workhorses for me.  I reach for them over and over again.  So, I was super excited to see a new polka dot pencil skirt!  Ummmmm, polka dots AND a pencil skirt?!?!  I cannot wait to get this beauty in my hands!  I love how it is styled on the website with a classic chambray shirt! And, I literally gasped when I saw the new gingham ball skirt!!!! This skirt is beyond stunning!  I am already thinking about multiple ways to style this beauty!  There are also many gorgeous wear to work combinations featured on the website.  I love how J. Crew styles classic work pieces in fun, bold, and unexpected ways!

OOTD (Sunday)!

Hi Everyone!

Here is the outfit that I wore to church yesterday.  I LOVED wearing this combo.  I was totally inspired by Blair, the Atlantic-Pacific with this combination.  The sweater that I am wearing is incredibly unique and fun and I love the idea of pulling out the burgundy in the sweater.  There are multiple burgundy tones at work here, but somehow it all came together nicely!

OOTD: Neutral Zone!

Hi Everyone!

I LOVE wearing outfits that feature bold prints and pops of color, but I also love wearing neutral and “soft” pieces.  Today, I decided to wear one of my favorite neutral combos featuring a heather camel colored sweater, an English tweed coat, and calf hair booties.  I paired these neutral pieces with my favorite new handbag, a Christmas gift to myself, and gold hoop earrings.  I love this combo and it will be in constant rotation this season.

Friday Faves!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Friday!  As usual, I am sharing my Friday Faves today!  I am loving so many gorgeous and bold floral prints.  Moreover, I am totally loving fun statement glitter boots!  I love the idea of letting a pair of shoes function as the focal point of an outfit.  There is something so fun about letting shoes pop against a cute pair of jeans and neutral pieces on top.  I also love the idea of starting my outfit planning with the shoes.  Most often, I begin planning my outfits from the bottom. The fun booties in the image below are AMAZING.  They are super comfortable and adorable.  They fit TTS and I highly recommend them!  I am also loving super fun hemlines.  The jeans that I am wearing in the image have the cutest asymmetrical hemline.  The hemline is super cute and incredibly unique.  I think that booties help to show off the beauty of these jeans.  The jeans fit TTS to slightly small.

Here are a few booties that I have styled with these fabulous and fun jeans!

OOTD

Hi Everyone!

Here is the outfit that I wore to church this morning.  I love combining burgundy and blush pink.  There is something so bold and classic about this color combination.  And, the skirt that I am wearing pairs these colors together beautifully in a bold and striking watercolor print.  I LOVE J. Crew pencil skirts and I knew that I would add this beauty to my wardrobe the moment that I saw it.  The fabric, the design, the texture, and the print are all SO striking.  And, I love that this beauty can be styled multiple ways.  I am wearing the skirt with a burgundy cashmere sweater, but it looks great with chambray, too.

And, may we please talk about this fabulous faux fur coat?!?!  In addition to being absolutely gorgeous, this coat is SOOOO cozy and warm!  I love how it feels and it how it adds the right amount of pop to an outfit.  The coat can be worn with a fun pencil skirt or with distressed denim for a cute casual look.  This beauty is incredibly versatile.  I sized down from an XL to a size Large.

I love the idea of balancing the pattern on the skirt with a neutral shoe so that the bold pattern stands out.  My shoes are older J. Crew, but the gorgeous subtle pink color of the J. Crew Dulci V-Cut Kitten Heels in Suede pair well with this beautiful skirt, too.

Finally, I love adding a bold color bag to complete the look.  This bag is without question one of my faves because it’s SOOOO gorgeous.  The color is striking and the quality is SOOOO good.  I own this beautiful bag in two colors (the vintage cabernet and the dark evergreen) and I am totally getting the newest color that J. Crew is offering, the sunwashed pink.  This bag is roomy and durable.  I can fit everything I need in it for a long day on campus including all of my books, my trusty leopard clutch, and food for the day!  This bag receives great reviews on the website and I totally see why!  The smaller version of this bag is equally adorable, versatile, and durable (and it looks SO great monogrammed)!
