Friday Faves: Gingham Gems!

Hi Everyone!

Today, I am sharing my Friday Faves!  I am LOVING all things gingham these days.  Gingham is hands down one of my favorite patterns.  The pattern really brings out my preppy side.  And, I love how J. Crew adds a fresh twist to the pattern every season either by creating fun and unexpected color combinations or changing the scale and the size of the gingham print.  J. Crew offers this pattern in a variety of pieces ranging from skirts, blazers, blouses, sweaters, sweater blazers, pants, jumpsuits, and an array of dress types including sheath, faux-wrap, maxi styles.  I genuinely appreciate the varieties that are offered!  Recently, I purchased the J. Crew High-Neck Jumpsuit in Gingham Cotton Poplin and I have to say that the style is incredibly flattering.  The band in the midsection area is genius! The silhouette is absolutely stunning in my opinion.  And, the color combination on this particular jumpsuit is unique, classic, and fun.  The bow adds the perfect touch to this beautiful jumpsuit.  This is an amazing piece.  I took my normal size 16 in the jumpsuit, so the fit is TTS.

Here are IRL pictures of the jumpsuit.  Photos by Samantha Moore Photography:

I paired the jumpsuit with a J. Crew Cotton Jackie Cardigan Sweater because I do not like to show my arms, but also because I wanted to add a fun pop of color.  I love how the hot pink looks against this gorgeous blue gingham!

In addition to this gorgeous gingham jumpsuit, I am totally LOVING the J. Crew Women’s 2011 Icon Trench in Oversized Gingham.  The fit is incredible and the trench is SOOO versatile.  I have paired it with a fun graphic t-shirt and denim, as well as with the Belted Gingham Sheath Dress in B-Stretch Cotton.   The details on both colorways of the trench are just SOOO cute and fun!  Here is an IRL picture of the “Avril Gingham Pink Ivory” color:

I love that the collar features the contrasting navy ivory gingham pattern.  It’s an adorable, fun, and unexpected design element!  And, I love how the navy ivory sheath dress or pencil skirt would look fabulous with the pink peony colorway!  The styling possibilities are endless. I took my normal size 14 in this fantastic trench.

Hi Everyone!

Here is the outfit that I wore to teach earlier today!  It is definitely a challenge trying to dress for the weather these days.  The day starts off chilly and ends super hot.  So, I decided to wear the J. Crew Sophie Open-Front Sweater Blazer to get me through the morning chill.  However, by the end of the day, I was wearing a t-shirt and jeans!

OOTD: Pleated Perfection!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Easter (if you observe)!  Here is the outfit that I wore to church earlier today.  I LOVEEEE this dress!  The dress is incredibly flattering.  I received SO many compliments on this look! I sized down from a size 16 to a size 14 in the dress, so the fit is generous in my opinion.  The pleats are soooooo adorable on this beauty!

Saturday Shoes and Suit Shopping!

Hi Everyone!

The weather in KY has been alllllll over the place!  It has been dreary and rainy the past two days and the temperatures have been super chilly.  The temperature is in the 40s today!  But, that has not stopped me from dreaming about wearing cute sandals!  So, today, I am sharing several of my favorite shoes!  I am also sharing this FAB J. Crew suit that the amazing Toby absolutely loves!

So, here are a few of my favorite shoes and sandals (affiliate links below):

These sandals are SOOOO cute and incredibly comfortable!  They are also super versatile; they look great with jeans, skirts, and dresses.  Several reviewers note that they wore these beauties all day without getting blisters!  I love a sandal/shoe that I can wear right out of the box without breaking it in!  These sandals definitely fit that criteria.  I highly recommend these sandals.  I sized up to a size 10 and I am normally a size 9/9.5, so the sandals fit small in my opinion:

And, here are my other shoe picks!:

Finally, I wanted to share a suit that the amazing Toby purchased yesterday!  Here is a fitting room image of the suit in chambray.  We actually purchased the navy version of the suit for him.  I love the fit and the classic look of this suit.  The quality is superb and the material is fantastic; the online reviews corroborate my claims!  The blazer receives a 4.5 out of 5 star rating and the pants receive the same rating!  Toby plans to wear this suit with sneakers and I love that idea/look!

Here is a fitting room picture featuring my handsome hubby in the suit!:

The suit fits TTS!

Thanks for stopping by and have a spectacular Saturday!
